APCC Launches New Website!
We are excited to announce that APCC officially launched our agency's new website on Monday, July 27th! Our new site provides users with streamlined navigation, updated program information and a more interactive experience overall. Throughout the site, we have incorporated bright and colorful photos from around our center representing the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of Albany Park. Our development team will continue to make improvements and updates to our site in the coming weeks. We invite our community members and partners to check it out!
This project was managed by our Associate Director of Community Partnerships who worked collaboratively with local web designers and interns from our Chicago Youth Employment Program (CYEP). We send our sincere gratitude to Crystal Santiago and Jaime Gutierrez for their dedication and commitment to this project.

APCC Selected as Chicago Connected Partner!
According to Census data an estimated 100,000 students are lacking access to high speed internet in the City of Chicago. With Chicago Public School's (CPS) recent announcement that students will go fully remote in the fall, access to high-speed internet is more critical to student success than ever. The City of Chicago and CPS have partnered to launch a the Chicago Connected initiative, a groundbreaking program that aims to provide internet service to as many as 100,000 CPS students for the 2020 school year.
Community-based organizations will be instrumental in helping enroll families in this program and APCC has been selected as one of 35 CBO's across the city who will spearhead efforts to narrow the digital divide. In the coming weeks, our organization will conduct extensive outreach to enroll as many as 8,000 families in this program. Our outreach efforts will focus on connecting families with children attending schools in Albany Park and Avondale. Additionally, the Chicago Connected program and its partners will provide households with digital literacy support, skill development and training.
