                                             Welcome parents and students,

      My name is Kathy Talan and I am very excited to have your child in my class.  I hope my enthusiasm and dedication to your children will make for an enjoyable as well as a successful learning experience for your child.

      Parents, as one of the most important people in your child’s life, you have an opportunity to make a critical difference in how successful your child will be in school.  Reading together is one way to become your child’s partner in education.  Read to your child every night if you can. 

      I feel that the school year will be most beneficial if we work together as a team, so I welcome any thoughts or questions you may have.  Feel free to send a note, call or plan a time to talk with me should the need arise.
