About Mrs. Yim
My name is Kristin Yim. I have graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Class of 2012. I have received my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have middle school endorsements in Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, and Language Arts and received my minors on Teaching Mathematics for Grades 6-8. I have worked with children ever since I was in high school through a variety of summer camps and through the America Reads, America Counts program.
I believe teaching and learning should go both ways between the teachers and the students, which will help them feel special and important. With this mindset, I believe it will be easier for me to always remember to never abuse the power of being a teacher. I am not their puppet master. I am their teacher, leader, guide and adviser.
