307: Mrs. Vancil Middle School ELA

I have been teaching middle school for over twenty years in Chicago Public Schools.  Over half of my time I have been at Volta Elementary.  I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and two masters degrees in Leadership and Curriculum/Instruction.  Each year I bring in a very special program called the Albany Park Theater Project to work with our eighth graders.  

 

This school year we will be using a curriculum designed by CPS called Skyline.  

To achieve the district’s vision of providing a high-quality, rigorous education for all students, it is critical that all schools adopt high-quality curriculum, defined as:
