About Mr. Yim
I have received a Bachelor's in music education at Northeastern Illinois University in 2016. I grew up in Chicago; I am a product of the Chicago Public School system; and I grew up in the school's neighborhood community.
Music is central to my life, but that was not always the case. I studied piano at a young age under the suggestion of my parents. Like any other young boy, I might have rather spent my leisure time playing outside with friends. It was not until I started playing the trombone and joined a brass band where my appreciation for music began to flourish. Eventually, I understood music was more than just creating sounds. It is truly a gateway to collaborate with others, as well as a means for better understanding oneself.
